11. Annapurna Vegetarian

Google/Viharin Rosa

I’m from Europe, and I like Indian food very much. A few years ago, I spent a few days in Toronto and had the opportunity to eat in several places, but the Anapurna restaurant was a clear favorite after a few experiences. For me, the most important thing is always the atmosphere that employees can create there. And I felt great here. The food was exactly to my liking. So if I ever return to Toronto, Anapurna will be a clear choice for me.

10. Curry Twist Restaurant

It was raining today so I Was craving samosas so I stopped by.The samosa was fresh and crisp. Saag Paneer and Garlic Naan cooked to perfection. This place is clean and hygienic which is a big plus! Absolutely recommend this place.

9. The Veggie Thali

Google/Sushmita Srivastava

Ordered Pav bhaji and veggie thali through uber eats. bhaji was too oily and tasteless. I had their Pav bhaji before during dine in and it tasted great but I guess something has changed. Veggie thali: has chole, rajma, aloo gobhi ,halwa, roti, salad, rice. Except the Aloo gobhi: the potatoes were hard as rocks everything else tasted nice especially the rajma.

8. Aafrein Indian Restaurant

Google/Victoria

Warm and inviting dinner. The dinner for two is excellent value for what you get – basically a three course meal plus dessert (not pictured because we ate it instantly), with lots of options for those with dietary restrictions. And you will have plenty of leftovers! A perfect place for special occasions.

7. Udupi Palace

Google/Brigi

It’s a nice place, I always know what I’m going to get, so there are no surprises. Gluten free dosa has not changed since 2018. I still don’t understand why they add wheat to the normal one – traditionally it’s simply urud dal and rice – fermented – no wheat required and that is the best dosa. I had palak paneer (spinach and paneer) – that was nice. My friend had normal masala dosa – that was also nice.

6. Bhoj Indian Cuisine

Google/Jaimik Patel

Nice to have good taste of Indian food with freshly made Items, I visited this place almost after 3 years, still taste was good. Small restaurant with good control over food taste, I do believe they have only 3-4 person staff to handle situation. I just feel food quantities was low compare to pricing, else place was good nothing much to say about it.

5. Little India Restaurant

Google/Joel Hunt

Very good Indian cuisine.  Some of the absolutely best naan I’ve had.  Vegetable pakora was great.  The butter chicken sauce was incredible.  The service was pretty poor, otherwise would’ve given 5/5 stars.  Staff were friendly but appeared to be understaffed.  Definitely recommend coming here.

4. Pukka

Google/Michaël Marchandise

Delicious Indian food. Chaat and eggplant tartare as starters were great. Main courses very tasty as well. Good sizes. Little noisy. Only negative is the price. But still worth it.

3. Adrak Restaurant

Google/Michelle Chang

Great atmosphere. Service excellent though food service could be a little faster.
Ordered paneer paratdar was a 8out of10  onion bhaji skippable, Anjeer koftey must order, saaj was the best I’ve ever had. Good fresh out of oven bread selections. You can tell this was the kind of place that took their foods, drinks, service serious. Busy place full of guests and takeouts. Definitely my new go to.

2. Leela Indian Food Bar

Google/Har

I found this place while going through numerous Indian place to eat on Diwali. This is cozy little place on Dundas and Runnymede. There was plenty of Parking on the street. I like the vibe the the neighborhood. This place is decorated beautifully with Indian-Modern ambience and has a bar as well. The menu is not too big and There are some experimental items which you won’t usually find in Indian cuisine.

Appetizers :- We ordered Eggplant Fries and Paneer Tikka. Eggplant fries could have been crisper but still were tasty served with 3 chutneys. Paneer Tikka oozes with Flavour and soft from inside. Spicy Madras Chicken had lots of flavors and zest with a sambar essence . Asparagus Kofta is so creamy and surprisingly tasty which i never expected . The butter naans were so fluffy from the inside and they just tasted so fresh like heaven. There are only 4 cocktails and we ordered 3 i.e Bengal Mojito,Madras Gimlet and Bollywood Gin Tonic . All were quite refreshing and had great taste with Indian style ingredients  unlike other indian places . The service was quite well . It has one gender neutral washroom which is quite spacious. I definitely recommend this place.

1. Bombay Chowpatty Toronto

Google/Bushra Alam (Nanoslam)

This is an overdue review but better late than never. Went here in the summer of 2020 while we were shopping at Gerrard St. We sat outside and the tables were all safely distanced. Servers had masks. We had our 2 year old nephew running around and he broke a glass which the owner/manager came and nicely cleaned and did not make us feel bad. The food was also very good. We ordered a variety of chats, tea and the Faluda was really good. He even gave us complimentary Kulfi. Overall great service and good experience.

Conclusion:

This list is a must-read if you’re seeking for the top vegetarian Indian restaurant in Toronto. These eateries have plenty to offer everyone, whether you’re craving traditional North Indian food or South Indian meals. And don’t worry, there will be at least one item on each menu that meets your craving for any kind of cuisine you like!
